I just have time to post a quick update summarising the weekend’s results:
Saturday: returns=19.7, selections=29,
Sunday: returns=32.1, selections=17,
Monday: returns=18.4, selections=17.

This is the 100th post for TheDailyTipster’s Blog. I started the betting system in January and began blogging a few months after that. I have really enjoyed doing this so far and I am grateful to all my readers for your comments via the log and also via email and the links on thedailytipster.com. I hope that you have found the selections useful for whatever betting strategy you employ and I hope that you have enjoyed reading the blog so far.
Profits for the system are in excess of 500 points for the year so far. I’ll be analysing the results for August soon to give a more exact figure. I am really pleased with the progress and I have recorded details of every selection which will allow me to do some more detailed analysis in the next month or so and hopeful increase the rate of return. I will also be making some changes to the website. In the next few days I will be emailing a password to everybody that has registered so that you can access the selections from the start of September. It is still possible to register via the link at thedailytipster.com. I will also be introducing other improvements – I am looking into setting up automated emails to send the selections out by email as they are made. This will be an option for users, or if you prefer you can continue to use the website with the audible alert when new selections are made.

Bid for Gold was the best value price selected at 9.5 yesterday and starting at 5.7. This was one of 32 selections for which the selected price beat the starting price. Out of a total of 42 selections this gave an average excess over SP of 11.2%. Unfortunately this was not reflected in the winners with only 6 coming in for a return of 20.2 points. The August roller-coaster ride continues.
A big day yesterday included 10 winners from 24 selections to make a return of 41.8 points and a very healthy profit. The pick of the day was Colditz in the 18:55 at Cartmel, selected at 8.5 and winning wth a starting price of 4.9 – an excellent value pick!
Yesterday the selections were on average 10.3% higher than the SP, which was not as good as the previous day (16%), but this time the winners came in for us. We had 12 winners from 38 selections prducing a return of 48.5 points and a very healthy 27.6% profit. August has had it’s ups and downs, but it has been a very profitable month. I am looking forward to analysing the figures at the end of the month.
August has been an unusual month. The first half produced some fantastic profits, then things became a little bit erratic for a week or so. Yesterday we had 6 winners from 29 selections producing returns of 21 points. This small loss occurred despite the fact that 21 of those selections started at a price lower than the selected price and on average the selected price was 16% higher than the SP. It’s just the law of averages – on another day we would have had a few more winners, and on average that 16% would be shown as profit on the winners. The results page at thedailytipster.com shows that this is what happens.
10 winners from 40 selections produced returns of 41.7 points yesterday. There were lots of value prices around giving trading opportunities. One of the best was Wafeira, selected at 11 with the bookmakers when it was already at 7.4 on Betfair and eventually started at 5.4 before coming in a winner.

This will be required from the beginning of September. Many of you have registered already and I will email the passwords to you before the end of the month.
The last week was somewhat unsettled with technical hitches and some poor results. Hopefully this week will bring us back to the normal consistency and end what has been a very successful month on a high. Yesterday saw returns of 11 points from 18 selections.
Thedailytipster.com bounced back to form yesterday with 6 winners to produce a return of 27.5 points from 22 selections. The pick of theday was Fathsta, selected at 8.5 and winning with a starting price of 6.96. This represented a value price even with an increased reduction factor post selection.
Yesterday was a bad day for the winners. Only 4 came in winning out of 41 selections. The amazing thing is that the system can take such a bad day and is still over 100 points in profit for the month. These days happen – it is the law of averages, but they are balanced, and more, by the really good days. Let’s hope for one today!
